RESOLUTIONS FOR OUTSTANDING SERVICE

Scott Reynolds of CalPine receives a resolution from Barbara LeVake.

Director Barbara LeVake presented Scott Reynolds, General Manager of CalPine, with a resolution of appreciation from the Levee District One Board of Directors for CalPine's commitment and support to flood control and protection throughout Sutter County. Scott Reynolds has been with CalPine for 10 years and has been the General Manager for 3 years.

CalPine made a commitment to donate the sum of $250,000 annually to flood control efforts here in Sutter County for a period of 10 years. In comments made in acceptance of the resolution and a photograph of the completed Star Bend Set-Back Levee project, Scott Reynolds assured the Board of CalPine's continued commitment in support of flood control efforts in the coming years.

Sean Minard of MHM Engineers and Surveyors receives a resolution from Barbara LeVake.

Director Barbara LeVake presented Sean Minard of MHM Engineers and Surveyors with a resolution of appreciation for his role in the completion of the Star Bend Set-Back Levee Project. Sean Minard was the Project Manager and was praised for his superior oversight of the project . The Board of Directors of Levee District One heralded his ability to keep the project on track and praised Sean for his efforts in keeping the Board well informed of the progress of the project. Chairman Francis Silva had high praise for Sean Minard saving the levee district money. Sean Minard was also praised by Levee District One's principle engineer, Jeff Twitchell, for the great job he did and how easy to work with he had been.

In accepting the resolution and photograph, Sean Minard stated he appreciated the professionalism of Nordic Industries and the staff members of Wood Rodgers (Jeff Twitchell).

Axel and Jens Karlshoej of Nordic Industries receive a resolution from Al Montna.

Director Al Montna presented Axel and Jens Karlshoej, with a resolution of appreciation from the Levee District for their outstanding work on the Star Bend Set-Back Levee project. Al Montna praised their commitment to the people of Sutter County and the speed at which Nordic was willing to work in order to get the job done in time for the 2010 flood season. Further, Al Montna praised the Karlshoej's past commitments to flood and safety concerns throughout the region over the years.

In acceptance of the resolution and photograph of the completed Star Bend Set-Back Levee Project, Axel Karlshoej stated that it was not about the money, but making the community safer. He enumerated the times in the past that Nordic Industries had provided aid to the community after high water and flood events.

Jeff Twitchell receives a resolution from Francis Silva; attorney Duane Oliveira looks on.

Chairman of the Board of Directors, Levee District One, presented Jeff Twitchell of Wood Rodgers with a resolution of appreciation for the role he played as the principle engineer on the Star Bend Set-Back Levee Project. Wood Rodgers is the Engineering Firm through which the set-back levee was designed. Jeff Twitchell is also Levee District One's principle engineer.

Other Board members as well as the general manager also had high praise for Jeff Twitchell--both for his work with the levee district and his work on the Star Bend project. In acceptance of the resolution and photograph that was presented to him, Jeff Twitchell lauded the Board of Directors for making tough decisions in order to get the project done. Jeff Twitchell had praise for Sean Minard and Nordic Industries as well. NOTE: Jeff Twitchell will remain Levee District One's principle engineer, but has accepted a position with GEI, which he will begin in the very near future.
